Golden Hour
Dahlia Evenings
An evening spent among the flowers
During the month of September
Tuesday Evenings | 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Experience Overview
Late summer is one of our favorite times of year.
The vegetable gardens are abundant and the dahlia cutting garden is overflowing with flowers. As the day's work begins to wind down, we'll head into the garden together to harvest some of the season's best blooms.
You'll learn a few simple techniques for harvesting dahlias, then wander the rows at your own pace, gathering flowers that catch your eye. Once we've finished picking, we'll make our way up to the pond overlooking the farm, where we'll arrange our flowers into a mason jar bouquet.
This isn't a flower arranging class or a formal workshop. It's simply an opportunity to spend an evening on a working farm, learn a little about growing cut flowers, and head home with a beautiful bouquet you harvested yourself.

A Few Things to Know
Blue Heron is a working farm. Expect uneven ground, dirt paths, and a little dust along the way.
This experience includes a short walk through the cutting garden and up to the pond.
Because flowers bloom with the season, every evening is a little different. The colors and varieties available will depend on what nature has given us that week, making every bouquet one of a kind.
Cancellation Policy
Because each evening is prepared specifically for the number of guests attending, registrations are non-refundable.
If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to transfer your reservation to a friend or family member with advance notice.
If Blue Heron Farm needs to cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you'll have the option to transfer your reservation to another date or receive a full refund.
We Look Forward to Sharing the Evening With You
There are plenty of ways to spend a beautiful September evening.
We think wandering through a field of flowers, arranging a bouquet by the pond, and watching the sun settle behind the Sierra is a pretty darn good one.
