Led by Venessa Smith, a Wholistic Learning Coach and Sylvotherapy Practitioner with a background in geoscience and education. What to Expect

We will gently walk through:

  • Apple trees

  • Asian pears

  • Figs

  • Pomegranates

  • Peaches

  • Apricots

  • Plums

  • Pears

Along the way, we’ll move at an unhurried pace, pausing to engage our senses and attune to the subtle rhythms of the land.

You’ll experience:

  • Guided sensory invitations

  • Gentle walking through the orchards

  • Creekside and pond-side moments of stillness

  • Breath and grounding practices

  • Quiet reflection

  • Community tea gathering by the pond

We will close our time together in circle near the water, sharing tea and reflections as the farm continues its spring unfolding around us.

What Is Sylvotherapy?

Sylvotherapy, often called forest bathing, is a guided practice of immersing yourself in nature with intention and awareness. Research shows that spending slow, mindful time in tree-rich environments can support:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Stress reduction

  • Improved mood and clarity

  • Immune support

  • Deeper connection to place

This session is uniquely rooted in a working food forest, offering the added nourishment of fruit trees, blossoms, and regenerative land stewardship.

Who This Is For

This experience is ideal for:

  • Adults seeking restoration and grounding

  • Those feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or overstimulated

  • Nature lovers wanting deeper connection

  • Anyone curious about forest therapy

  • People interested in regenerative farms and food forests

No prior experience is necessary.

The Setting

Blue Heron Farm is a vibrant orchard, nourishing food garden, and land-based sanctuary. In springtime, blossoms open, water flows through the creek and pond, and the entire landscape hums with renewal.

We will be walking on natural terrain. Please wear/bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Layers appropriate for changing weather

  • Sun protection

  • Water

  • Notebook, pen/pencil

  • A towel, blanket, or small mat to sit on as we pause throughout the orchards (if you don’t want to sit on the ground)

After the Walk

We’ll gather beside the pond for:

  • Tea

  • Gentle reflection

  • Optional sharing

  • Integration time

This closing circle is an important part of the experience, allowing insights and sensations to settle.

An Invitation

Spring on the farm is not rushed.
It unfolds in cycles.
In blossoms.
In water.
In light.

Come slow down enough to feel it.

Reserve your place and step into the rhythm of the season.

We would would be so stoked to have you at this ultra-special workshop at the farm. We hope you join us.
