So excited to announce the FIRST EVER…
2026 Blue Heron Farm Fall CSA
Excited to announce the 2026 Blue Heron Farm Fall CSA!
For the first time ever, we're extending the CSA season into the fall!
Our Fall CSA is an eight-week share built around everything we love about growing food this time of year: frost-sweetened greens, roots pulled from cool soil, hearty cooking vegetables, sprouts and microgreens galore, and all the goodies that the farm gives us as summer fades into winter.
We'll begin the second week of October and carry you through mid-December, with a two-week break around Thanksgiving.
8 Weeks | $320 for the Season | Only 50 Shares Available
What's in a Fall CSA Box?
You can expect a changing mix of things like:
Arugula, salad mix, lettuce, carrots, beets, winter radishes, and turnips. Kale, chard, spinach, bok choy, and other cool-weather greens. Cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli. Winter squash and pumpkins. Onions and garlic. Maybe potatoes (fingers crossed). Goodies from the propagation house like microgreens, sunflower sprouts, and pea shoots.
Actually, growing through the colder months is my favorite time of year. The weeds finally slow down and the insect pressure eases. Greens that struggle through the heat of summer suddenly thrive, becoming sweeter, more tender, and happier in the cool weather. Fall carrots are hands-down the best carrots ever.
There's something deeply satisfying about farming in the fall. We cannot wait to share the glory of fall crops with you.
How the CSA Works
1. Seasonal Commitment
The Fall CSA runs for 8 weeks beginning the second week in October.
By joining the CSA you support the farm for the winter season. Your commitment allows us to buy seeds, plan labor, invest in soil health, and build a strong foundation for the winter season.
2. Weekly Share
Each week you will receive a curated box of fresh seasonal produce. One of the unique features of our CSA is that you can customize your box.
You will receive your order email every Wednesday at 5 PM with a list of what is available that week. Your selections are due by Saturday at 11:59 PM.
If you do not submit an order, you will receive our standard farmer picked box for the week.
3. Pick Up and Delivery Options
Pickup on the Farm will be on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 PM.
Home Delivery
Delivery to Wilkerson and Bishop proper is available on both Tuesday and Friday for $7 per week. Click here to learn more about our delivery area.
If you are unable to pick up or accept delivery one week, please let us know in advance. Any unclaimed boxes will be repurposed.
4. Add Ons
During your weekly order you may have the option to add value items like jams, dried fruit, and other seasonal goodies. Add ons are billed separately using online invoices.
5. Communication
We keep you in the loop every week.

6. The Order Form
Each week you will select six items to fill your box.
Optional add ons and home delivery can be added before checkout.
7. Dealer’s Choice
If you want a little surprise, select the Dealer’s Choice option. That might mean the first broccoli of the season or a share of rare varieties.
8. First Come First Served
Some crops are limited. Orders are filled in the order they come in. If there is something you really want, order early.
9. Payment
Payment for the eight week season is collected upfront through our website. Weekly add ons are billed separately.
10. Low Waste Commitment
We do our best to keep the farm low waste. Please return any reusable containers like jars or green berry pints during your pickup.
11. Supporting Local Agriculture
Your CSA payment helps us through the quiet season, buy supplies, improve infrastructure, and care for the soil. You are directly supporting small scale, regenerative agriculture in the Eastern Sierra and helping us build a more resilient local food system.
